Changing names

Stephen Wanyama executes an easy piece on the changing labels on cities and institutions around the world. He speaks of the controversy surrounding name changes and why some socieiies decide to take the plunge, even as they suffer the financial cost of renaming.

Good bye Bombay, good bye Jan Smuts International Airport. Where is IndoChina? He tops it off with a call that we change place names closer home too, starting with the Lake Victoria and the universities named for Presidents Jomo Kenyatta and Daniel Arap Moi.
